VicRoads Licensed Vehicle Testers inspecting cars, utes, vans and eligible light trucks at our Sunshine West workshop.
An inspection, clear advice and repairs if needed
Autotech carries out roadworthy inspections for light vehicles and light trucks up to 4.5 tonnes. If a vehicle does not pass, we can explain the required repairs, complete them in our workshop and arrange the retest. Motorcycle roadworthy inspections are not available.
If inspection-related repairs are needed, our workshop can help with brake repairs, suspension repairs and tyres before the vehicle is retested.

Roadworthy inspection and servicing are different bookings
Tell us that you need a roadworthy certificate (RWC) when enquiring. The inspection assesses the vehicle for the certificate; it is not a substitute for arranging regular servicing.
If repairs are required
The team can explain the required work and discuss completing it at Autotech before retesting. Tell us about any existing inspection information when booking so the workshop can understand the next steps.

Which vehicles can you inspect?
We inspect light vehicles, including eligible light trucks up to 4.5 tonnes. We do not inspect motorcycles.
Can you repair a car that fails its inspection?
Yes. Autotech can carry out the required roadworthy repairs and then retest the vehicle.
Is a pass guaranteed?
No. The result depends on the vehicle’s condition at inspection. Contact the team to discuss your vehicle and booking.
